Are you a singer or a bedroom DJ? Do you play in a band or on your own at home? Would you like to write your own music and create your own music video and develop your online profile? Would you like to get behind the desk in a recording studio or be front of house engineer at a live show? Are you thinking about a career in the music business?

 Then sign up to our young musicians Do It Yourself (DIY) programme where you will receive expert tuition and guidance from trained professionals with industry experience. The eight week programme of workshops, masterclasses and more will take place between October and December 2016.

 Soundwave are delighted to announce that we are teaming up with local band The Fusion Dukes (www.thefusiondukes.com) to guide our participants through various experiences such as song writing, performing, sound engineering and video shooting. The Fusion Dukes have over 15 years of combined experience working with brands and companies such as Disney, Nickelodeon and The BBC, in locations such as Manchester, Glasgow, the Lake District and London’s O2.

 We at Soundwave (The Music Charity) aim to provide music based guidance and opportunities for children and young people in West Cumbria. The DIY programme is open to any young musicians, audio engineers, music producers or marketing guru’s between the ages of 13-19 and is FREE of charge thanks to the support of The Foyle Foundation and the National Foundation of Youth Music.
